Our History
1971
Initially established in 1971 by John Sentas,
JAS Transport Services has since gone on to earn a reputation that both honours its family-friendly past, while also positions it as a future-focused pioneer for progressive, innovative approaches to transportation.
Since its establishment over five decades ago, JAS Transport Services has undergone a number of facelifts. Yet, its commitment to top-tier customer service has never wavered.
1976
The business was rebranded to J&A Sentas in 1976, following John’s marriage to his wife Athena. In the years that followed the family welcomed three children – Anthony, Stephen and Leah – all of whom inherited their father’s drive to do transport, warehousing and logistics better.

1992
In January 1992 J.A.S. Transport Services Pty Ltd was established, and in March of the same year the family registered their now infamous company motto:
“YOU CALL WE HAUL”.
2000
2008
After John handed over the reins to his sons Anthony and Stephen in 2008, the brothers took the opportunity to shine the spotlight on the philosophy they had always worked by: “To deliver quality service within the transport and logistics industry.”
2009
As a result of this exposure, in 2009, the business further expanded with Anthony and Stephen responsible for the development and growth of
JAS Transport Services into one of Sydney’s most significant and reputable transport companies.
